Barry and Teri said their “I Do’s” surrounded by their family, friends, and the Ko’olau mountains on the 18th tee off of the Ko’olau Golf Club. The ceremony was amazing, and personalized, and it was apparent how much affection Barry and Teri had for each other, and for all their family. The backdrop was beautiful, and the weather although sketchy that morning had turned into the perfect day minutes before the ceremony began. My favorite part of the ceremony was when all the guest got out of their seats and formed a circle of love around the couple as they were announced husband and wife. Or was it the rainbow that popped up just before they were about to head to the reception? Either way the whole day was nothing short of amazing. Congratulations to you both, and thanks for letting me be a part of your day! Here is that sneak peak I promised you!

When Kerry called me on the phone to talk about wedding details, I knew there was something I really liked about her. We hit it off and chatted like school girls for quite awhile. I felt like I had know her for years, and I could not wait to meet her in person. When the day finally arrived I discovered that not only was she more awesome then I originally thought, but she was about to marry a man that was equally as great. Dan and Kerry’s sunset wedding was so intimate that they did not even have an officient. It was a ceremony for just the two of them. Two people, in love, on a beach, at sunset, surrounded by all of Hawaii’s beauty. So we decided it would be best to do all their wedding pictures before hand so they could have a private ceremony for two just as the sun was setting past the horizon. We started at the surf shop in Haleiwa, and it was so fun to watch them just being silly and in love with each other. I even tried out a fish eye lens for the first time which was tons of fun! We joked that Dan was just a prop and Kerry was the main attraction. I say we joked but it was kind of true, Kerry looked stunning, and I think Dan makes a very good prop! Want to see what it looks like to be fabulously in love? Well then check out the pictures below!

Victor and Kanoelani said “I Do” on the white sand beach of Lanikai. A planned elopement is what they called it. I called it perfect! Two people, madly in love, on a beach, starting their lives together. May day will be an extra special celebration for them from now on. After and amazing ceremony we ventured all over the island taking pictures. We started at the beautiful Laie Hawaii Temple , stopped at the Banyan trees, hit the surf shops of Haleiwa, and finished with an amazing sunset on the beach. This wedding really reminded me of why I love my job so much. The love and passion between Victor and Kanoelani was so intense that it felt like it poured onto those around them. I have been married for almost 12 years now and it is so easy to let the craziness of everyday life get the best of you. We spend our days scratching off items on your “to do” list and not even have a full conversation with your spouse until your sleepy head hits the pillow. I love my job because I get to share in the moment of two people beging their lives together and loving each other so intensely, like nothing else in the world matters at the moment except for each other. New love reminds me to never let that feeling die in my own marriage. It reminds me to take the time to love a little more, laugh a little more and enjoy a little more. It makes me want to be a better person, a better wife and a better lover. Love that’s contagious should be spread! Thank you Victor and Kanoelani for infecting me with the urge to love bigger, to love deeply, to love passionately.
Enjoy your honeymoon in Maui. Hope you infect everyone around you with your love! Here are a few of my favorite pics from your wedding day!

You might recognize this awesome couple from the engagement pictures I shot a few months ago. Alison and Jarred tied the knot on October 16th at Queen Emma’s Summer Palace. What a gorgeous location for a wedding. The grounds are just amazing! My head was spinning with all the photo opportunities! Alison rocked her wedding dress like no other. Speaking of rocking, the wedding party rocked there way down the isle with their crazy dance moves. It looked like so much fun I was tempted to put down my camera and join them! Alison and Jarred’s love for each other and God radiated like sparks in the quaint garden area. Family came from all over the mainland for the occassion, and I was blessed to be a part of it. Alison and Jarred I am so excited to have gotten to know you both, and I hope we continue to grow as friends. I wish you a life time of happiness! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.

After a year of emailing back and forth I was so excited to finally meet Jabbar and Kayatana! They had spent the last year planning the perfect Hawaiian wedding, and that is just what it was…..perfect. From the pillows that they hand sewed for all their guests to the flower she wore in her hair, Kayatana planned the perfect day. I was told by a close friend that she was a perfectionist and she lived up to her reputation. Not one little detail was missed. She just might be the most organized bride I had ever met. It obviously pays to be organized because while most brides are running around behind schedule in a frantic mess Kayatana was relaxed and peaceful. Everything was running so smooth that we had plenty of time to sit back and chat and she told me all about her romance with Jabbar. How they met at a conference in Texas and how they now work just one floor apart for the same company. It was a perfect fairy tail and now they were going to have a prefect fairy tail wedding. You are an amazing couple with fabulous friends and family and I thank you for letting me be part of your day. Here is a little sneak peek of what is yet to come.

It makes my heart smile when two of the sweetest people on the planet become one. Lani and Daniel and all their family celebrated this union on August 7th and I was honored to be there to capture it. Starting with a beach front ceremony and ending with a splash in the ocean I had so much fun with this couple in front of my camera. A special thanks also goes out to Irene Frankhouse for shooting this wedding with me. I had just given birth 4 days before so Irene stepped in and covered most of the events while I just came and went though out the day. Lani and Daniel I hope you are having the time of your lives on your honeymoon in Maui, and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of being a second shooter for the amazing Nathan Nowack. He is a photographer from Redondo Beach, CA and was here shooting a destination wedding. Brad and Elyse said their I Do’s in the courtyard of the beautiful Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki. I was in charge of the detail shots and the boys! Check out this gorgeous bride and groom as well as some of the fun details form the day!

The Rings

This weekend I had the pleasure of being the second shooter for a fabulous photographer from Austin Texas! Marella of
Marella Photography was here shooting a destination wedding and I had the privilege of working with her. This was my first time to be a second shooter and it was fun to watch another professional photographer run the show. The wedding took place at the gorgeous
Kualoa Ranch on the windward side of Oahu. This is my second time to shoot at this locations and I have to say it is one of my favorite wedding locations on the island. The ocean and mountain views are absolutely breathtaking. The best part of the day is when a rainbow appeared right in the middle of the ceremony. Brendan joked that he had to pay big bucks to pull that off. What a perfect touch to a perfect day!

This past Saturday I got to experience a ray of sunshine on a wet and dreary day. No, there was no sun in the sky as Kevin and Patrice vowed their love and lives to one another, but the brightness came from within. Their love for God and their love for one another radiated the room and brought warmth to the hearts of everyone around them. I am sure when they started planning their Hawaiian wedding day they pictured blue skies and beaches, but when the rain came pouring down Patrice and Kevin were troupers. They did not let a few rain drops take away any excitement of this important day. Thanks to the amazing wedding planning of
Katy Castillo Weddings the ceremony was moved indoors and the whole day was perfect. This was my first time to work with Katy and I just have to take a minute to tell you how fantastic she is. Her acute attention to detail absolutely blew me away. If you are planning a wedding in Hawaii she is a must have!
Thank you Kevin and Patrice for letting me be a part of your wedding day. It was a joy spending the day with you and your family. Here is to a long and blessed life together!

I have to send a shout out to
Sweet Blossom Florist for doing such a beautiful job on Patrice’s bouquet!

There are so many gorgeous photo opportunities on the grounds of the
Hale Koa Hotel. Even with the rain we were able to get some great shots!

Jack and Joy
It was the perfect day, for an intimate wedding, on a perfect beach in Paradise. On this day as the sun was setting Jack Crabtree and Joy Bayle pledged their lives to one another. You could feel the love in the air as they exchanged their personal vows to the sound of the crashing of waves on the shore. It was intimate, It was personal, It was perfect!
