Last night I shot my first new born shoot in a very long time. Little Evan Kai is only 12 days old and I was more then excited to get my hands and my camera on this little one. I knew it was going to be a fun shoot because Even’s mommy and daddy just happen to ROCK! I actually met them for the first time in 2006 when I did a beach photo shoot with them. They were one of my first clients when I was just starting out. So when Peggy called me and told me the fantastic news about Evan’s birth I was so honored to be the one to do his first photo session! This new family of three are getting ready to trade in their surf boards for snow shoes so we made sure to get some pictures at their favorite beach. Apparently the beach has that same relaxing affect on Evan as it does on me as this was the only time he fell asleep during the whole session. When we got back to the house for a few more shots he proceeded to poop, pee and spit up on all my props which gave all of us the giggles. That’s what babies do! Evan we just doing his job! I am going to get some more time with Evan on Tuesday during the day, which is when he likes to take his long naps. I can’t wait to do it again but in the mean time here are some of my faves from last nights session.

Wow. What great pictures. It is 61 here today so we are jealous of being on the beach with Evan. We are waiting for Philly in August!!!!

I think he is a keeper. I like the one where he has his legs under his stomach and is sleeping. Looks like he has reddish blond hair. By the looks of the one where he is crying - he has a good set of lungs. He looks a lot bigger. How much weight did he gain? Peggy, you don’t even look tired so guess he must be a good baby. Shawn looks like a happy Papa. Well, now it’s Grandma G’s turn. Love, Grandma
He looks so precious!!! and very healthy too! I love the picture of him on his belly with his legs up & underneath — he already looks like he is ready to start creeping. You guys look so happy out there together. Can’t wait till we can get the whole gang in a photo with the little “Hoover”!!! August is just around the corner! Love you guys! Momster

What great pictures, I just love them…but then again when you have such an adorable baby how could they be anything less than perfect! Pictures like these belong in a magazine! So happy for the 3 of you - everyone looks so beautiful…..can’t wait to meet Evan! We love you all!
