It may have been a windy day on the shores of Waialae Beach Park but love was in the air. Today was the day that Allen and Ana started their happily ever after. Family and friends gathered around to watch these two hearts become one. When Ana appeared in her wedding dress with her long gorgeous hair tied up to the side it took my breath away. Allen is one lucky man. They just might be the most stunning couple I have ever seen. Move aside Brangilina! Thanks for letting me a part of this beautiful occasion! Here is the sneak peek I promised you!

Today I met another family that is saying good bye to the sunny skies of Hawaii. The Cullen’s are a military family who has come to the end of their tour in Paradise. I was surprised to find out that they have lived on the island for three years and had never witnessed a west side sunset. They did not know what they were missing! In fact not only did I insist they see this but I just had to capture it! They gathered up their little freckle dusted kids and made the long trek over from the east side of Oahu to be in front of my lens. We had a blast playing in the sand and water, and I think their oldest daughter broke the record for most hermit crabs ever caught in one evening! I am sure the Cullen’s will miss Hawaii when they leave, but I think Hawaii might just miss them even more! Thanks for being so laid back and fun tonight! Here is a sneak peek at our session!

I promise I am not trying to turn this blog into a “look how cute my kids are” blog but when ever I find a new location I want to try out they become my ginny pigs. A few weeks ago when we took a horse back ride on the North Shore we came across a huge Banyan tree in the middle of the woods. As soon as I laid eyes on this tree my gears started grinding and I just knew I had to come back for a photo session. I know most people coming to Hawaii for pictures want photos done on the beach but it is nice to find something different. Take a look at my blue eyed bunch at the Banyan tree!

This past Saturday I got to experience a ray of sunshine on a wet and dreary day. No, there was no sun in the sky as Kevin and Patrice vowed their love and lives to one another, but the brightness came from within. Their love for God and their love for one another radiated the room and brought warmth to the hearts of everyone around them. I am sure when they started planning their Hawaiian wedding day they pictured blue skies and beaches, but when the rain came pouring down Patrice and Kevin were troupers. They did not let a few rain drops take away any excitement of this important day. Thanks to the amazing wedding planning of
Katy Castillo Weddings the ceremony was moved indoors and the whole day was perfect. This was my first time to work with Katy and I just have to take a minute to tell you how fantastic she is. Her acute attention to detail absolutely blew me away. If you are planning a wedding in Hawaii she is a must have!
Thank you Kevin and Patrice for letting me be a part of your wedding day. It was a joy spending the day with you and your family. Here is to a long and blessed life together!

I have to send a shout out to
Sweet Blossom Florist for doing such a beautiful job on Patrice’s bouquet!

There are so many gorgeous photo opportunities on the grounds of the
Hale Koa Hotel. Even with the rain we were able to get some great shots!

As the Terrana family walked into the lobby of the Turtle Bay Resort where they were spending their family vacation, the youngest Terrana was very timid, and hiding behind his mother’s skirt. When this little boy dreamed of a family vacation in Hawaii a family photo shoot is not on his “to do” list. The parents reassured me that they had bribed all the kids, and things should run smoothly. Turns out a new baseball bat can bring a huge smile to a once shy face. The youngest of three children I don’t think he was shy at all, he was just pretending to be shy. We were not five minutes in when we were making jokes and laughing and he forgot he was even getting his picture taken. I just love it when you are taking family pictures and you feel like a long lost family member by the time it is all over. Mom was kind and gorgeous, the kids were a blast, and even dad was one of the best sports I have had the pleasure of working with. Their oldest daughter is 12 and sadly we had so much in common. We gushed over Brody Jenner from the Hills who happened to be filming his new show Bromance at the resort. We gabbed about the Twilight book that we both happened to be reading. I suppose part of me will always be a twelve year old girl.
Here is a sneak peek Terrana’s! I had so much fun getting to know you all and thank you for a funtastic evening!
